In January 2018, Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) revealed to a Quest JDE E1 Special Interest Group * how Dimension SwifTest™ is going to change how they approach JDE E1 testing and significantly improve the results.
Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to introduce our JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) test automation product, Dimension SwifTest™, to the Quest JDE E1 Human Capital Management Special Interest Group. *
Whenever we get the opportunity to present our JDE E1 products and services to a live audience, we like to have one of our customers do most of the talking. On this occasion, we were delighted to be joined by Sherri Harley, Senior Business Applications Consultant at the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC).
Sherri took a few minutes to explain how the OUC first engaged with DWS as development partner, back when they were looking to customize and extend their implementation of EnterpriseOne.
The strong relationship that developed after these early projects meant that, when DWS were preparing to bring SwifTest to market, we enlisted the support of the OUC during beta testing. They liked what they saw so much that they went on to purchase the software.
“SwifTest helps us streamline the testing component of any upgrade project”, Sherri explained”. “And as we build out the catalog of test scripts, it will save us valuable time during user-testing”.
Sherri went on to explain how the OUC’s investment in SwifTest was already yielding results across the organization, and how it would help them deliver on their key objective of reducing the amount of time spent on testing.
“Individual scripts can be combined to test specific functionality, without having to continually re-build the component elements; so SwifTest is helping with both process-specific tasks and end-to-end scenarios. All of the SwifTest scripts are reusable, meaning we don’t have to start from scratch every time we run a test.”
