Last Wednesday, April 6, 2022, I had the pleasure of attending and presenting with Granite Construction and iLearnERP at the Houston User Group (HUG) for Oracle JD Edwards event in Houston, TX.
The event (the first in-person since December 2019 due to the Covid pandemic), was a great success. It was highlighted by outstanding attendance and excellent sessions that focused on: Continuous Improvement through Automation, Leveraging Orchestrator and Maintaining and Enhancing Security Through Assessments and Utilizing Oracle JD Edwards E1 Security Management tools. Additionally, the Mayor of the City of Houston, Sylvester Turner, proclaimed April 6, 2022 as: H.U.G. Houston Regional User Group for Oracle JD Edwards Day! How cool is that?
Oracle employees, customers, and vendors engaged jubilantly with each other and the atmosphere was vibrant. While part of the event’s success could be attributed to the fact that people were eager to get back to in-person events, I truly believe it was much more than that. In the conversations that I had with customers and vendors alike, I could see the commitment that everyone in the HUG community has to Oracle JD Edwards. While Oracle continues their support and continuous delivery to JD Edwards customers, it was evident that users are committed to continuous innovation and maximizing their organization’s investment in JD Edwards ERP.
They are looking to do things more effectively and efficiently. Ironically, this is one of our major goals here at DWS, namely: Helping JD Edwards customers run smaller, faster and smarter projects.
In closing, if we didn’t speak at the event, but you would like to learn how DWS is helping our customers improve the way they manage their Oracle JD Edwards E1 and Cloud Apps systems, we invite you to reach out!
